Our Team

Cody Young is a LGBTQ+ writer and producer from Syracuse NY, who works in both film and fiction, with a distinct focus on atypical, pulpy characters and rural settings. As a young boy, Cody was mesmerized by the Universal Monster movies and to say that those films have influenced his work would be a drastic understatement. Cody’s works, while occasionally being comedic, are most often highlighted by the usage of horror elements to explore systemic societal conditions in rural spaces. Cody received his MFA in Screenwriting from Boston University and is currently working toward his MFA in Producing at Columbia University. He co-wrote and provided the story for the film Melanie, alongside co-writer and director Howard McCain. Melanie was also used as the basis of a series in development at Shudder, entitled Night Terrors.
Chris White holds an MFA in screenwriting from Boston University. Prior to attending this program, he served in the United States Marine Corps as an 0351 Infantry Assaultman from 2011 to 2015. This included one combat tour to a rather quaint area of Afghanistan known as Marjah. He spent time helping to train the Filipino marines which was an absolute blast despite their lack of prowess with the provided weaponry. He joined the Corps from West Chester, Ohio (If you go to any USMC base, spin around and blindly throw a stone, you will hit someone from Ohio, it’s wild). He did his undergraduate at University of Kentucky where he majored in Media Arts and Studies. He’s always had a real passion for stories, current projects along with Trail of Blood are a thirty-minute dramedy pilot about a retired, old school former Marine Corps drill who becomes his towns cheerleading coach and a feature about an Afghan farmer trying to save his son from being framed as a high ranking member of the Taliban.
